TRIBUTE TO DUNCAN
Reply Quote

In the morning when I awake,

My arms, my legs, my body ache

The sun had risen, the moon had sunken,

Then I heard about the death of Duncan!!

The thoughts of him ran through my head,

The laughs, the fishing, the things he said!!

Duncan helped me when I was really down,

That day we drank so much I thought I was gonna drown!!

We’ve all gotta cross to bare and so did that man.

In his flat in St. Ives we would put the world to rights,

Sort out the Countries problems talking through the night!!

Then we’d get all the kids, Bev, Keith, Dave & Jools,

Go fishing, have a great fire acting like fools!!

But such fun we all had night fishing was great,

But from the possie we lost three good mates!!

Now it’s Duncan’s turn to collect his wings,

Go through those purley gates with a beer & his things!!

As we all stand at the funeral crying & having a weep,

Duncan would’nt have wanted this, he’d have wanted us pissed in a heap, of laughs, jokes n beers & party on you dudes

Let’s send him off with a party of happy moods!!

To you Duncan my mate I miss you so much!!

Hope you get together with Dave & the lads & get in touch

Your thoughts are always with us “To Duncan”, tree topper, land labourer, theres only one man !! “DUNCAN”

God bless you wherever you are, you ain’t got no more, troubles, illnesses & no more pains & no matter what.

We love you Duncan & thanks mate for being a friend from the start of your life through to the end.

A close friend to a better friend
