Pretty fair description I would say. A lot of the people there seem to be mutants of some sort.

My wife used to go shopping in Stevenage but stopped around a year ago as she could not stand the people there. They were generally very rude, ignorant and seemed to consist of 16 year old mothers chain smoking while their 2 / 3 year olds run riot.

As someone who grew up in Stevenage I feel that NeilB has hit the nail on the head... Chernobyl also possibly has more character...
