I had the pleasure of knowing Paul when he first joined the fire service in Hertfordshire-at the time I was beginining my career as a paramedic also at Stevenage. I transfered to another service in the late nineties but always remember the jokes and good times we all had at that time (blue watch curries were something that you never forgot!!) Not only did Paul have a blinding sense of humour but was also a genuine nice guy and im not surprised he had progressed so far within his career with the fire service since the days when I knew him.
